New Orleans rhythm and blues refers to a type of R&B music from New Orleans, with a lot of piano and horn sections, complex syncopated "second line" rhythms, and lyrics that reflect New Orleans life. It was an important ancestor to Rock 'n Roll.
Antoine "Fats" Domino, Jr (born in 1928) is an American pianist and singer-songwriter.  He had 35 hits and has a music style based on traditional rhythm and blues ensembles of bass, piano, electric guitar, drums and saxophone.
"Fats" Domino was born in New Orleans.  The Domino family were of French Creole background.  Louisiana Creole French was his first language.

  1. "I'm Just a Gigolo" Louis Prima The King of Swing
There are so many musicians from New Orleans. One of my students brought to my attention Louis Prima.Louis Prima (December 7, 1910 – August 24, 1978) was an American singer, actor, songwriter, and trumpeter. Prima rode the musical trends of his time, starting with his seven-piece New Orleans style jazz band in the late 1920s, then leading a swing combo in the 1930s, a big band in the 1940s, a Vegas lounge act in the 1950s, and a pop-rock band in the 1960s. Prima was from a musical family in New Orleans, grandson of Italian immigrants.
